What is Care4Kenya?

Care4Kenya is a group of teenagers who want to make a difference. Originally founded by a different group of teenagers, this group is the second set of teenagers who want to travel to Kenya to help those in need. Care4Kenya is Beacon Humanitarian’s youth initiative.

How did Care4Kenya begin?

Care4Kenya began when Nickson and Judy Kasue told some youth about the conditions of their native Kenya. Dustin Schepps was the first to commit to raise money to build a well in Kenya. His sister Bailey also joined, followed by Emily Kasue, Esther Kasue, Nickson Jr. Kasue, Emma Anderson, Eliza Anderson, Nathan Williams, Jordan Vanderveen, and Jake Nilson who traveled to Kenya in 2014.

What is Care4Kenya’s goal?

Care4Kenya’s main focus is to provide clean water to Kenyan villages in need. Water is essential to daily life. Many villagers in Kenya travel many miles to get water that is contaminated resulting in many sicknesses, disease, starvation, and war in some cases. Providing access to water that is close to villages can change the lives of Kenyan villagers dramatically.
